Bridging Opportunity Gaps for Marginalized Youth

The Karta Initiative is a UK-registered charity (CIO Registered Charity Number: 1173020) committed to addressing significant disparities in access to higher education, 21st-century skills, employment, and entrepreneurship opportunities for young people in the Global South. With a particular focus on girls and young women from marginalized communities, Karta is dedicated to breaking the intergenerational cycle of marginalization and transforming lives through equal opportunities.

Founded on the belief that equitable access to quality higher education, long-term mentorship, and robust social and cultural capital is key to empowering marginalized youth, Karta Initiative envisions a world where educational and workplace equality is achievable for all.

Our Purpose

At its core, The Karta Initiative exists to align potential with opportunity. By focusing on young people from marginalized communities, we aim to create pathways for equitable access to education, skills, and opportunities that empower them to break barriers, achieve their dreams, and contribute meaningfully to society.
