Our Programs

The Karta Initiative offers a range of transformative programs designed to bridge gaps in education, skill development, and employment for young people in the Global South. These programs focus on equipping youth with the tools, resources, and support they need to succeed in higher education, meaningful employment, and entrepreneurship. At the heart of Karta’s work lies the belief that empowering marginalized youth with 21st-century skills, mentorship, and opportunities is the key to breaking cycles of poverty and marginalization.

Mentoring

Karta’s Mentoring Program connects young people with experienced professionals who provide guidance, support, and encouragement throughout their academic and professional journeys. Mentors play a crucial role in helping students navigate challenges, explore career pathways, and build confidence.

This program is designed to foster long-term relationships that go beyond traditional mentorship, offering young people access to valuable networks and opportunities. By building social and cultural capital, Karta ensures that students from marginalized communities are better positioned to succeed and thrive.

In addition, this program empowers youth to become entrepreneurs by providing training, resources, and financial support to start their own businesses. By fostering an entrepreneurial mindset, Karta enables young people to address challenges within their communities and drive sustainable change.
